Central Bank of India strengthens on raising Rs 2,354 crore from GoI

Central Bank of India is currently trading at Rs. 31.55, up by 0.30 points or 0.96% from its previous closing of Rs. 31.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 31.55 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 32.20 and Rs. 31.20 respectively. So far 53809 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 93.50 on 17-Nov-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 27.00 on 12-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 33.10 and Rs. 30.60 respectively. The current market cap of the Bank is Rs. 9467.46 crore.

The promoters holding in the Bank stood at 86.40%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 10.67% and 2.93% respectively.

Central Bank of India has raised Rs 2354 crore by allotting 35,43,57,970 equity shares of the face value of Rs 10 each at the issue price of Rs 66.43 per equity share including premium of Rs 56.43 per equity share determined as per SEBI ICDR Regulations, 2009 to President of India [Government of India (GoI)].

With this allotment, shareholding of President of India (GoI) has increased from 86.40% to 88.02%. The Capital Raising Committee of the Board of Directors of the Bank at its meeting held on November 13, 2018, allotted the same.

Central Bank of India is a commercial bank. The bank’s segments include Treasury Operations, Corporate/Wholesale Banking, Retail Banking and other Banking business.
