Dhampur Sugar Mills trades higher on the bourses

Dhampur Sugar Mills is currently trading at Rs. 66.20, up by 1.20 points or 1.85% from its previous closing of Rs. 65.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 67.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 69.00 and Rs. 64.40 respectively. So far 70544 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 70.25 on 24-Jul-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 27.40 on 21-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 69.85 and Rs. 62.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 356.59 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.80% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 6.60% and 40.60% respectively. 

Dhampur International (DIPL) has ceased to be a subsidiary of Dhampur Sugar Mills. This is on account of transfer of company’s stake in its wholly owned subsidiary - DIPL. The board at its meeting held on July 30, 2012 has considered and approved for the same.

Dhampur Sugar Mills is engaged in manufacturing sugar, ethanol, chemicals and plantation white sugar. It is the first and the largest manufacturer of refined sulphurless sugar in the India.
