Kotak Mahindra Bank soars on reporting 14% rise in Q3 consolidated net profit

Kotak Mahindra Bank is currently trading at Rs. 1270.35, up by 33.00 points or 2.67% from its previous closing of Rs. 1237.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1241.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1272.00 and Rs. 1224.05 respectively. So far 590380 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1424.00 on 17-Jul-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1002.30 on 01-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1272.00 and Rs. 1198.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 240941.50 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 30.01%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 48.99% and 21.00% respectively.

The Bank has reported 22.57% rise in its net profit at Rs 1,290.93 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2018 as compared to Rs 1,053.21 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank increased by 19.26% at Rs 7,214.21 crore for Q3FY19 as compared Rs 6,049.02 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the bank has reported a rise of 13.53% in its net profit at Rs 1,844.01 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 1,624.24 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total consolidated income of the company increased by 12.30% at Rs 11,347.39 crore for Q3FY19 as compared Rs 10,104.59 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
