Central Bank of India surges on raising capital of Rs 1678 crore

Central Bank of India is currently trading at Rs. 30.65, up by 0.45 points or 1.49% from its previous closing of Rs. 30.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 30.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 30.90 and Rs. 30.30 respectively. So far 9559 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 88.05 on 16-Mar-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 27.00 on 12-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 32.45 and Rs. 29.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 9140.48 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 88.02%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.43% and 2.55% respectively.

Central Bank of India has raised capital of Rs 1678 crore from allotment of 38,74,39,390 equity shares of the face value of Rs 10.00 each at the issue price of Rs 43.31 per equity share including premium of Rs 33.31 per equity share to Government of India (GoI). The allotment has increased shareholding of GoI from 88.02% to 89.40%. The Capital Raising Committee of the Board of Directors of the Bank has approved the same in its meeting held on February 28, 2019.
