Ashok Leyland reports marginal rise in February sales

Ashok Leyland has reported a marginal rise of 0.35% in February 2019 sales to 18245 units, as against 18181 units sold in the same month of last year. The company reported a fall of 3.16% in its medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) products segment to 13291 units in February 2019, as compared to 13726 units sold in February 2018.

The light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment of the company registered sales of 4954 units in February 2019, a rise of 11.20%, as compared to 4455 units sold in February 2018.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
