Ashok Leyland is in the process of developing a new modular platform on which it plans to roll out its future medium and heavy products from next year. This will fuel the next round of growth in domestic and overseas markets.
The company is also working on a separate platform for light commercial vehicles (LCVs). The new platforms are expected to come on stream next year, thus helping the company consolidate its presence, especially in the international markets.
Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
