BHEL shines on commissioning 1320 MW supercritical power project in Odisha

Bharat Heavy Electricals is currently trading at Rs. 51.95, up by 0.55 points or 1.07% from its previous closing of Rs. 51.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 50.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 52.00 and Rs. 50.15 respectively. So far 440790 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 79.95 on 10-Sep-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 46.65 on 23-Aug-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 52.45 and Rs. 48.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 17984.86 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.17%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.95% and 5.88% respectively.

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has successfully commissioned the 1320 MW IB Thermal Power Station (2x660MW).

Located in Jharsuguda district of Odisha, the project is owned by Odisha Power Generation Corporation (OPGC), a joint venture company of the Government of Odisha and AES, a US-based energy company. Previously, BHEL had set up two units of 210 MW at IB Thermal Power Station which are in operation for more than 20 years.

BHEL is India’s largest engineering and manufacturing company of its kind. It is a power plant equipment manufacturer and operates as an engineering and manufacturing company.
