Ashok Leyland has declared the non-working days at various plant locations for up to 15 days during the month of October 2019. The company's plants at various locations will be observing non-working days ranging from 2-15 in October in order to adjust production to market demand.

The company's move comes in the wake of slowdown in the domestic automobile industry, forcing automobile companies to take production cuts in order to reduce inventory at dealerships.
