Asahi Songwon Colors shines on inking pact with Tennants Textile Colours

Asahi Songwon Colors is currently trading at Rs. 156.05, up by 5.80 points or 3.86% from its previous closing of Rs. 150.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 157.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 158.95 and Rs. 153.65 respectively. So far 2321 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 274.40 on 29-Oct-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 105.00 on 05-Aug-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 158.95 and Rs. 132.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 192.67 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.81%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.39% and 33.81% respectively.

Asahi Songwon Colors has signed a Joint Venture Cum Shareholders Agreement with Tennants Textile Colours, London. The agreement is for setting up a manufacturing facility for AZO Pigments in India at Dahej, Bhrauch in Gujarat. Asahi Songwon Colors and Tennants Textile Colours will hold 51% and 49% stake, restrictively, in the proposed Joint Venture Company.

Asahi Songwon Colors is a leading player in the Indian Pigment industry. The company is in the manufacturing of CPC Beta Blue and Blue Crude, exporting substantial production to leading MNCs around the world on account of quality of its products.
