Axis Bank trades higher on the bourses

Axis Bank is currently trading at Rs. 718.45, up by 5.75 points or 0.81 % from its previous closing of Rs. 712.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 713.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 730.00 and Rs. 713.10 respectively. So far 111077 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 826.55 on 06-Jun-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 534.15 on 26-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 730.00 and Rs. 691.00 respectively. The current market cap of the bank is Rs. 200922.79 crore.

The promoters holding in the bank stood at 16.60%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 70.88% and 12.44% respectively.

Axis Bank has reported a net loss of Rs 112.08 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2019 against net profit of Rs 789.61 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank increased by 21.14% at Rs 19333.57 crore for Q2FY20 as compared Rs 15959.37 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the bank has reported a net loss of Rs 18.14 crore for the quarter under review against net profit of Rs 878.21 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank increased by 20.36% at Rs 19,886.36 crore for Q2FY20 as compared Rs 16,522.38 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
