Ashok Leyland reports 35% fall in October sales

Ashok Leyland has reported a fall of 35% in October 2019 sales (Domestic + Exports) to 9857 units, as against 15149 units sold in the same month of last year. The company reported a decline of 48% in its medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) products segment to 5126 units in October 2019, as compared to 9797 units sold in October 2018.

The light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment of the company registered sales of 4731 units in October 2019, a fall of 12%, as compared to 5352 units sold in October 2018.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
