PVR rises despite reporting 34% fall in Q3 consolidated net profit

PVR is currently trading at Rs. 1915.15, up by 17.20 points or 0.91% from its previous closing of Rs. 1897.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1895.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1920.60 and Rs. 1876.10 respectively. So far 9702 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1959.25 on 21-Jan-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1345.80 on 13-Aug-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1959.25 and Rs. 1876.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 9734.15 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 18.44%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 72.99% and 8.57% respectively.

PVR has reported a fall of 31.29% in its net profit at Rs 39.50 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2019 as compared to Rs 57.49 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 5.09% at Rs 887.60 crore for Q3FY20 as compared Rs 844.60 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a fall of 34.25% in its net profit attributed to the equity holders at Rs 36.34 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2019 as compared to Rs 55.27 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 7.76% at Rs 923.89 crore for Q3FY20 as compared Rs 857.37 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
