Ashok Leyland has reported a fall of 40% in January 2020 sales (Domestic + Exports) to 11,850 units, as against 19,741 units sold in the same month of last year. The company reported a decline of 47% in its medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) products segment to 7,754 units in January 2020, as compared to 14,694 units sold in January 2019.
The light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment of the company registered sales of 4,096 units in January 2020, a fall of 19%, as compared to 5,047 units sold in January 2019.
Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
