Dhunseri Tea gains as its arm acquires step down subsidiary

Dhunseri Tea & Industries is currently trading at Rs. 177.00, up by 1.05 points or 0.60% from its previous closing of Rs. 175.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 184.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 184.50 and Rs. 177.00 respectively. So far 134 shares were traded on the counter.

Dhunseri Tea & Industries’ wholly owned subsidiary -- MakandiTea &Coffee Estates has acquired a step down wholly owned subsidiary by the name or Nitambi Estate (NEL) located at Malawi. The company has acquired 4001 Ordinary shares of NEL each of 2K (Kawcha) at cost of $13,21,000 including deferred cost of $5,71,000 to be paid over a period of 7 years.

Dhunseri Tea and Industries is engaged in tea production. It provides packaging and blending units are located in Dhunseri Tea Estate (Assam) and at Jaipur (Rajasthan).
