Ashiana Housing has collected approximately Rs 5.24 crore from the customers of retail segment at Marine Plaza as of September 27, 2012. The total outflows on the project including lease rentals paid to Tata Steel and the cost of construction incurred is Rs 13.69 crore till date.
Earlier, as per the latest order, dated September 21, 2012, the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee withheld any kind of construction work in Marine Plaza on the land bearing khata no. 622, plot no. 75, ward No. 1, in Sonari, Jamshedpur which was taken on sub lease by the company from TATA for development and construction of hotel cum shopping complex.
The company initiated construction of retail cum hotel complex namely ‘Marine Plaza’ on the aforesaid land. However, the company is exploring legal remedies to get the said order set aside.
