Allahabad Bank launches campaign to focus more on farm credit

Allahabad Bank has introduced a campaign called - Agriculture Credit Disbursement Quarter October-December 2012, to increase bank’s priority sector and agriculture credit portfolio. The bank will make available debt capital to farmers, during the campaign, for farm mechanization and allied activities. The bank will also extend credit for Micro and Small Enterprises, with special stress on micro enterprises.

The bank has registered a rise of 22.94% in its net profit at Rs 514.03 crore for first quarter ended June 30, 2012, as compared to Rs 418.13 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank has increased by 24.30% at Rs 4767.71 crore for Q1FY13 as compared Rs 3835.77 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
