The company’s small commercial vehicle Dost has contributed to the increase in sales numbers. The company sold 3,027 units of Dost up from 196 sold in September 2011.
On the heavy and medium commercial vehicles segment, the company has recorded a negative growth. The heavy and medium commercial vehicles logged sales of 7,596 units down from 8,607 units sold in September 2011, a decline of 11.74%.
On the other hand, the India-Japanese passenger vehicle joint venture Toyota Kirloskar Motor sold 12,115 units in September 2012 down from 12,807 units sold during comparable period last year whereas on the export front, the company exported 2,176 units of the Etios series to South Africa.
