Ashok Leyland reports zero sales in April 2020 amid lockdown

Ashok Leyland has reported zero sales for the month of April 2020. This was because in compliance with the Government orders for closure of activities to control COVID -19 pandemic, the company suspended its production across all its factory locations since March 24, 2020 (the all India lockdown date announced by GOI).

The manufacturing activities and the Company’s dealerships across India, remained affected and recorded nil production and sales, for the month of April 2020. The company will follow the strict guidelines / directives of Government of India on COVID-19 pandemic and will start activities upon clearances from the relevant authorities.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
