Kotak Mahindra Bank reports fall of 7% in Q4 consolidated net profit

Kotak Mahindra Bank has reported results for the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2020.

The Bank has reported a fall of 10.03% in its net profit at Rs 1266.60 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 1407.80 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank increased by 8.10% at Rs 8294.07 crore for Q4FY20 as compared Rs 7672.56 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the bank has reported a fall of 6.53% in its net profit at Rs 1905.18 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 2038.27 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank decreased by 12.58% at Rs 12084.71 crore for Q4FY20 as compared Rs 13823.33 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2020, the bank has reported a rise of 22.24% in its net profit at Rs 5947.18 crore as compared to Rs 4865.33 crore for the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 13.15% at Rs 32301.72 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 28547.24 crore for year ended March 31, 2019.

For the year ended March 31, 2020, on the consolidated basis, the bank has reported a rise of 19.28% in its net profit at Rs 8593.36 crore as compared to Rs 7204.13 crore for the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 9.58% at Rs 50299.69 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 45903.36 crore for year ended March 31, 2019.
