Punjab National Bank’s consolidated net loss narrows to Rs 820 crore in Q4

Punjab National Bank has reported results for the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2020.

The bank has reported net loss of Rs 697.20 crore for the quarter under review as compared to net loss of Rs 4749.64 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank increased by 11.29% at Rs 16388.32 crore for Q4FY20 as compared Rs 14725.13 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the bank has reported net loss after minority interest of Rs 820.49 crore for the quarter under review as against net loss of Rs 4613.40 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank increased by 12.44% at Rs 16824.20 crore for Q4FY20 as compared Rs 14962.72 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2020, the bank has reported net profit of Rs 336.20 crore as against net loss of Rs 9975.49 crore for the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 7.47% at Rs 63074.16 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 58687.66 crore for year ended March 31, 2019.

For the year ended March 31, 2020, on the consolidated basis, the bank has reported net profit after minority interest of Rs 438.45 crore as against net loss of Rs 9570.11 crore for the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 8.05% at Rs 64306.13 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 59514.52 crore for year ended March 31, 2019.
