Bank of Maharashtra jumps on reporting 25% rise in Q1

Bank of Maharashtra is currently trading at Rs. 12.36, up by 0.49 points or 4.13% from its previous closing of Rs. 11.87 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 12.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 12.80 and Rs. 12.22 respectively. So far 2729587 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 15.24 on 20-Jan-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 7.71 on 13-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 12.88 and Rs. 10.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7210.25 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 92.49%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 4.11% and 3.41% respectively.

Bank of Maharashtra has reported 24.58% rise in its net profit of Rs 101.02 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2020 as against Rs 81.09 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased 2.28% at Rs 3264.81 crore for Q1FY21 as compared Rs 3191.88 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

The Bank’s gross NPA for the April-June quarter of the current fiscal improved to 10.93%, as compared to 17.90% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, Bank’s Net NPA stood at 4.10% in Q1FY21.
