Suprajit Engineering tumbles as SEBI imposes fine on the company

Suprajit Engineering is currently trading at Rs. 190.60, down by 2.00 points or 1.04% from its previous closing of Rs. 192.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 193.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 194.25 and Rs. 190.35 respectively. So far 10446 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 220.00 on 01-Feb-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 100.00 on 25-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 196.90 and Rs. 179.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2703.04 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 44.57%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.98% and 39.45% respectively.

Markets regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has imposed a total fine of Rs 7 lakh on Suprajit Engineering and three individuals for violating insider trading norms. A fine of Rs 2 lakh has been slapped on Suprajit Engineering (SEL), Rs 3 lakh on Jayarama Shetty Mundaje, and Rs 1 lakh each on Mohan Srinivasan Nagamangala and Meddapa Gowda J, respectively.
