Ashok Leyland has launched BADA DOST, reinforcing its offering in the LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) range. Through this, the Company increases its addressable domestic LCV market. BADA DOST builds on the strong foundation laid by the DOST brand, which is known for reliability, mileage and comfort. It features customer-centric offerings on technology and driver comfort, while being contemporary and futuristic.

Great Eastern Shipping Company (GE Shipping) has signed a contract to buy a secondhand Very Large Gas Carrier of about 77,922 cbm. The 2002 Japanese built vessel is expected to join the company's fleet in Q3 FY21. The company's current fleet stands at 46 vessels, comprising 33 tankers (11 crude carriers, 17 product tankers, 5 LPG carrier) and 13 dry bulk carriers with an average age of 12.37 years aggregating 3.70 mn dwt. The company has already contracted to sell its 1996 built Very Large Gas Carrier Jag Vidhi which will be delivered to buyers in Q3 FY21.

Dilip Buildcon (DBL) has received Letter of Award (LOA) for a new HAM project viz. 'Four laning of NH-363 from Repallewada (Design Km 42.000/Existing Km 288.510) to Telangana/Maharashtra Border (Design Km 94.602/Existing Km 342.000) (Design Length = 52.602 Km) in the State of Telangana under NH (0) on Hybrid Annuity mode (HAM).' The bid project cost is Rs 1140.50 crore. The completion period for the project is 24 months and the operation period will be 15 years from COD.

Wipro is planning to provide commercial engineering services for the Open Network Edge Services Software (OpenNESS) toolkit globally. OpenNESS is a Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) software toolkit that was developed by Intel and allows developers to create and deploy applications at the network edge or on-premise edge locations. The engineering services for OpenNESS builds upon an ongoing collaboration between Wipro and Intel on innovative 5G and edge solutions that utilize Intel’s FlexRAN software reference architecture and OpenNESS.

Zensar Technologies has launched its blockchain based contract management solutions for enterprises. The solutions called Distributed Intelligent Contract Enforcement System (DICES) focuses on contract enforcement while the other solution, called ZenConfluence is an enabling solution on which other applications can run.

Artson Engineering has received a Work Order of Rs 17.97 crore, excluding GST, from Tata Projects. The order is for manufacture & supply Process Vessels & SS Tanks for NFC Kota Powder Plant Project. The said order is expected to be completed in 11 months.

Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) has placed the Commercial Papers (CPs) of Rs 2000 crore in terms of the guidelines issued by Reserve Bank of India. The allotment date is September 15, 2020, while maturity date will be December 14, 2020. The above CP is a part of fund based limit of Rs 10,000 crore as approved by the Board in its meeting held on January 21, 2020.
