Infosys, Aurobindo Pharma and IRB Infrastructure Developers to see some action today

Infosys has been selected by Essential Utilities, one of the largest publicly traded water, wastewater and natural gas providers in the U.S., as a strategic partner to drive its digital transformation. Infosys, along with SAP will implement SAP S/4HANA and the SAP Customer Relationship Management and Billing for Utilities package in an agile operating model to enable nimble and real-time decision making while transforming digital user experience and operations for Essential Utilities.

Aurobindo Pharma has collaborated with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) to develop vaccines to protect against SARS-CoV-2, also known as COVID-19. Under the signed agreement between CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) and Aurobindo Pharma, Aurobindo will partner with CSIR for development of several novel COVID-19 vaccines. Three CSIR labs namely CCMB Hyderabad, Institute of Medical Technology (IMTECH), Chandigarh and Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (IICB), Kolkata are developing vaccine candidates using different technology platforms. Aurobindo will undertake clinical development and commercialization of the vaccines.

IRB Infrastructure Developers’ Wholly-owned Subsidiary--VM7 Expressway has executed Concession Agreement with National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for the project of Eight lane access controlled Expressway from Km 190.000 to Km 217.500 of Vadodara Mumbai Expressway (Gandeva to Ena Section) in the State of Gujarat under Bharatmala Pariyojana (Phase I-Package VII).

Arvind has partnered with ACT Grants, a non-profit coalition of VC funds and start-up founders, to produce 3 crore N95 masks in the next 12 months. Arvind has received a grant of Rs 10 crore from ACT Grants and will employ its manufacturing expertise on medical products and working capital to create a large, integrated facility for N95 mask production and distribution. Through this partnership, Arvind and ACT Grants will jointly donate 90 lakh masks over the next year to charitable institutions, government bodies and other organisations, focusing on medical and non-medical professionals with the highest risk of contracting the virus.

Siti Networks has received approval for acquisition of 51% equity stake in E-Net Entertainment, through its the wholly owned subsidiary company namely ‘Siti Broadband Service’. The Board of Directors of the Company at their meeting held on September 15, 2020 has approved the same.

Dish TV has started shifting production of its set-top boxes (STBs) to India, with plans to produce 50 percent in the country by the first quarter of 2021. The company, which operates Dish TV, D2H, and Zing brands in the DTH segment and OTT service brand Watch, has been importing STBs from Vietnam and South Korea. By shifting production of STBs to India, the company looks at scaling manufacturing in the country and ways to enable industry revival. This will further assist in streamlining supply chain, operations, and management.

State Bank of India (SBI) is planning to make OTP-based cash withdrawal facility operational round the clock at its ATMs for transactions of Rs 10,000 and above from September 18, 2020. In January this year, the lender had introduced OTP-based cash withdrawals for above Rs 10,000 between 8 PM–8 AM through all its ATMs.
