Ashok Leyland has introduced a voluntary retirement scheme for its employees. The company’s board of directors, at a meeting held on November 6, 2020 approved the scheme. The scheme would be implemented over a period of nine months. Upon implementation and execution, the VRS would help optimize the capacity and resources of the company.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
