Elecon Engineering surges on bagging orders worth Rs 24.32 crore in October

Elecon Engineering is currently trading at Rs. 50.05, up by 0.85 points or 1.73% from its previous closing of Rs. 49.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 48.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 50.70 and Rs. 48.95 respectively. So far 26400 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 71.85 on 28-Oct-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 39.75 on 29-Aug-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 52.35 and Rs. 47.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 461.99 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 45.99% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 14.84% and 39.17% respectively.

Gujarat-based material handling equipment and transmission products maker Elecon Engineering has bagged orders worth Rs 24.32 crore from two firms in October.

The company’s material handling equipment division has bagged an order worth Rs 17.13 crore from NMDC for the supply, erection and commissioning of two numbers lump ore stackers including initial spares one each for their Bacheli Complex & Kirandul Complex Projects.

The same division has been awarded a contract worth Rs 7.19 crore from Tecpro Systems for wagon trippler along with side arm charger and mandatory spares for Harihar project.

Elecon Engineering Company (EECL) is a market leader in the domestic gears segment with around 25% market share in the domestic transmission equipment segment.
