Phillips Carbon Black gains on reporting 76% rise in Q4 consolidated net profit

Phillips Carbon Black is currently trading at Rs. 208.00, up by 0.40 points or 0.19% from its previous closing of Rs. 207.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 207.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 211.50 and Rs. 201.30 respectively. So far 209314 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 217.65 on 10-Mar-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 68.35 on 19-May-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 211.50 and Rs. 186.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3565.67 crore.

The company has reported rise of 76.52% in its net profit at Rs 127.38 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 72.16 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 23.80% at Rs 877.32 crore for Q4FY21 as compared Rs 708.66 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported rise of 75.55% in its net profit attributable to owners at Rs 127.73 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 72.76 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 23.72% at Rs 877.91 crore for Q4FY21 as compared Rs 709.60 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2021, the company has reported a rise of 10.15% in its net profit at Rs 312.27 crore as compared to Rs 283.49 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 18.13% at Rs 2675.31 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 3267.67 crore for year ended March 31, 2020.

For the year ended March 31, 2021, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported a rise of 9.45% in its net profit attributable to owners at Rs 313.63 crore as compared to Rs 286.55 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 18.18% at Rs 2677.52 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 3272.55 crore for year ended March 31, 2020.
