Salasar Techno Engineering, Panacea Biotec and Bharti Airtel to see some action today

Salasar Techno Engineering has bagged an order worth Rs 238.65 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) for construction of power transmission line network and sub stations in Arunachal Pradesh. The transmission line network will be of 132KV type and the substations will be of the extra high voltage capacity.

Panacea Biotec and The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF, Russia’s sovereign wealth fund) have launched production of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against coronavirus. The first batch produced at Panacea Biotec’s facilities at Baddi will be shipped to the Gamaleya Center for quality control. Full-scale production of the vaccine is due to start this summer, Company’s facilities comply with GMP standards and are prequalified by WHO.

Bharti Airtel’s network is fully ready for 5G and also announced deployment of additional spectrum in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu to boost network quality. The company has deployed 11.2 Megahertz (Mhz) additional spectrum in Karnataka and 5 Mhz in Tamil Nadu, both in 1800 Mhz band, popularly known as 2G spectrum.

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has unloaded a consignment of 11 ISO tanks filled with liquid medical oxygen (LMO) -- carried from Singapore by INS Jalashwa, an Indian Navy vessel -- at Visakhapatnam Port. The same vessel also carried two more ISO tanks of LMO, sourced by GAIL and handled by IOC. The ISO tanks have been taken on lease by IOC to handle the supply and logistics of LMO in the fight against the COVID pandemic. The consignment will meet the pressing demand for medical oxygen in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has created oxygen cylinder filling capacity of 3,000 units per day at its Haridwar facility among other initiatives to fight COVID-19. The second wave of the pandemic has rapidly developed into an unprecedented crisis for the nation, and in the midst of this grave national crisis, BHEL has been working on war footing to do its bit for the country and fellow citizens.
