Allahabad Bank to increase its presence in south region

State-run Allahabad Bank is planning to increase its spread across the country, especially in the South and aims to focus on the retail segment. At present, its spread is concentrated more in UP and Bengal.

The bank also aims to increase its retail share in the overall business to 25% in next two years from 15%. On the overall deposit and credit growth, the bank sees 16% growth in credit and 14% growth in deposits this year, and it will be able to achieve total business target of Rs 3.20 lakh crore this fiscal.
