HDFC Life Insurance rises on declaring bonus of Rs 2,180 crore for participating insurance plan subscribers

HDFC Life Insurance is currently trading at Rs. 719.30, up by 1.75 points or 0.24% from its previous closing of Rs. 717.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 718.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 721.95 and Rs. 714.80 respectively. So far 16452 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 746.00 on 09-Mar-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 521.00 on 25-Jun-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 724.00 and Rs. 693.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 145402.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.86%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.92% and 9.20% respectively.

HDFC Life Insurance Company has declared bonus of Rs 2,180 crore to its policyholders subscribing to participating insurance plans. Under a participating plan, a policyholder is eligible to get a share in the profits of company in the form of bonus.

The eligible participating policyholders will get a share of the surplus generated in the participating fund and their benefit amount will increase with declaration of bonuses every year. It exceeds the previous year's bonus by 44 per cent. A total of 15.49 lakh policyholders are eligible for this bonus.
