Maruti Suzuki, Kilburn Engineering and Ashok Leyland to see some action today

Maruti Suzuki India has reported more than three-fold increase in total sales at 1,47,368 units in June, as compared to 46,555 units in May, as easing of COVID-related restrictions helped the auto major to dispatch more units to dealerships. Its domestic dispatches to dealers in June stood at 1,30,348 units, as compared to 35,293 units in May. Sales of mini cars, comprising Alto and S-Presso, rose to 17,439 units in June as against 4,760 units in May this year. Sales of compact segment vehicles, including Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno and Dzire, increased to 68,849 units last month from 20,343 cars in May.

Kilburn Engineering has received orders for dryers & drying systems for various applications aggregating Rs 2360 lakh from various customers including Reliance Industries, Perstrop Industries India, Tarapur Environment Protection Society, Lhoist ( Malaysia) SDN BHD, Plant Lipids, BASF India, etc.

Ashok Leyland has reported two-fold jump in total sales at 6,448 units in June as compared with 3,199 units in May this year. Total domestic vehicle dispatches to dealerships stood at 5,851 units last month as against 2,738 units in May. Medium and heavy commercial vehicles (M&HCV) sales in the domestic market stood at 2,364 units in June as against 1,513 units last month. Light commercial vehicle sales in the domestic market last month stood at 3,487 units as compared with 1,225 units in May.

TVS Motor Company has registered a growth of 27% in June 2021 with sales of 251,886 units as against sales of 198,387 units in the month of June 2020. Total two-wheelers registered a growth of 25% with sales of 238,092 units in June 2021 as against sales of 191,076 units in June 2020. Motorcycle registered sales of 146,874 units in June 2021 as against sales of 84,401 units in June 2020. Scooter sales of the Company registered 54,595 units in June 2021 as against sales of 65,666 units in June 2020. Domestic two-wheeler sales registered 145,413 units in June 2021 as against sales of 144,817 units in June 2020.
