Tata Global Beverages trades in green on the BSE

Tata Global Beverages is currently trading at Rs. 158.80, up by 0.30 points or 0.19% from its previous closing of Rs. 158.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 158.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 160.10 and Rs. 157.65 respectively. So far 152038 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 164.90 on 17-Oct-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 80.00 on 23-Nov-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 162.40 and Rs. 148.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 9817.08 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 35.20% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 39.74% and 24.04% respectively.

Tata Global Beverages’ premium mineral water brand - Himalayan, will be distributed at the Starbucks network, which will help it to achieve scale and make it a global brand. It is planning to introduce new variants such as flavored and sparkling water, as it is going to ramp up its presence through the Starbucks stores across the globe.

Himalayan’s presence is limited to Delhi and Mumbai in the domestic market. Tata Global Beverages has been segmenting the water category with Nourishco’s offerings such as Tata Water Plus and Tata Gluco+ at the lower segments of the market and Himalayan at the premium end.

The company has reported 87.06% rise in its net profit at Rs 94.39 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 50.46 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 9.79% at Rs 594.02 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 541.05 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.
