Indian Overseas Bank rises on reporting around 3-fold jump in Q1 net profit

Indian Overseas Bank is currently trading at Rs. 23.55, up by 0.20 points or 0.86% from its previous closing of Rs. 23.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 23.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 23.95 and Rs. 23.35 respectively. So far 1226877 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 29.00 on 30-Jun-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 8.80 on 16-Oct-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 24.95 and Rs. 23.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 44987.74 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 96.38%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 1.46% and 2.16% respectively.

Indian Overseas Bank has reported around 3-fold jump in its net profit at Rs 326.64 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2021 as compared to Rs 120.69 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank decreased by 1.50% at Rs 5,155.03 crore for Q1FY22 as compared Rs 5233.63 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

The bank’s gross Non Performing Asset (NPA) for the April-June quarter of the current fiscal improved to 11.48%, as compared to 13.90% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, bank’s net NPA stood at 3.05% in Q1FY22.
