Corporation Bank edges higher on introducing two new term deposit products

Corporation Bank is currently trading at Rs 420.00, up by 2.25 points or 0.54% from its previous closing of Rs 417.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 417.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 423.00 and Rs 417.00 respectively. So far 777 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 528.45 on 16-Feb-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs 335.50 on 20-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 426.00 and Rs 403.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 6188.10 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.52% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 33.84% and 7.63% respectively.

Corporation Bank has introduced two new term deposit products called Corp Super Gain and Corp Super Gain Plus with effect from December 4, 2012. The bank is offering this Corp Super Gain scheme for 222 days with an interest rate of 9%. Corp Super Gain Plus is offered for 444 days with an interest rate of 9.25%. For both the new schemes the minimum amount of deposit is Rs 10,000 and the maximum is Rs 5 crore.

The bank has reported marginal rise of 1.15% in its net profit at Rs 405.71 crore for second ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 401.11 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank has increased by 16.96% at Rs 4070.45 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 3480.12 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.
