Adani Enterprises has bagged a contract to supply 1 million tons of imported coal to NTPC as the country aims to avoid a repeat of last year’s energy crisis. In October 2021, the company issued its first tender for coal imports in more than two years. NTPC would utilize the imported coal to boost its stocks and blend with domestic coal wherever possible.
