Automotive Stampings trades higher on BSE

Automotive Stampings & Assemblies is currently trading at Rs 44.95, up by 0.50 points or 1.12% from its previous closing of Rs 44.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 44.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs 44.95 and Rs 44.10 respectively. So far 621 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 64.00 on 23-Feb-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs 38.20 on 21-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 45.95 and Rs 43.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 71.31 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 3.04% and 21.96% respectively.

Automotive Stampings and Assemblies’ Worker Union at Chakan Plant has called off the strike and the permanent workers at the plant have resumed the work. Further negotiations between the management and the workers are ongoing.

Earlier, the company had received a letter proposing stoppage of work with effect from October 12, 2012 from Workers' Union at Bhosari Plant. Besides, the company has also received a notice of indefinite strike with effect from October 12, 2012 from Workers' Union at Chakan Plant.

Automotive Stampings and Assemblies is into the production of a wide range of sheet metal components for the automotive industry. Its product mix can be broadly classified into three categories: (i) Structural Panels and Skin Panels for the vehicle body (BIW) (ii) Modules and Aggregates including Chassis sub-assemblies (Under body) (iii) Oil Sumps and Fuel tanks. Its products mainly cater to passenger and commercial vehicles.
