SML Isuzu catches speed on reporting 14% rise in January sales

SML Isuzu is currently trading at Rs. 658.70, up by 17.55 points or 2.74% from its previous closing of Rs. 641.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 646.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 658.70 and Rs. 645.55 respectively. So far 349 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 842.80 on 11-Nov-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 430.05 on 12-Apr-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 666.10 and Rs. 621.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 948.33 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 43.96%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 2.62% and 53.41% respectively.

SML Isuzu has sold 609 vehicles in January 2022 against 535 vehicles in January 2021, showing a rise of 14 percent. Besides, the company has sold 5315 units in April to January 2022 as against 3331 units in April to January 2021, showing a rise of 60 percent.

On segment-wise, in January 2022, the company's passenger vehicles sales stood at 132 units, up 154% yoy. While cargo vehicles sales were at 477 units, falling by 1% yoy. 

SML Isuzu manufactures a range of vehicles such as trucks, buses and ambulances. The company has launched products like 4WD, Samrat, Sartaj, Dual Cab, Supreme-8 tonner, Truck- Super 12, Super ALFD and many more.
