BHEL to spend Rs 200 crore for up-gradation and modernization work

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) will be spending around Rs 200 crore for up-gradation and modernization of facilities during 2012-13. The company will be spending the amount from internal resources as it is a profit making Navratna company.

Under up-gradation and modernization work which is a continuous activity, various old and ageing assets of the company, on case to case basis, are replaced, reconditioned/retrofitted and updated to enhance their life, accuracy and productivity.

BHEL has been committed to the nation’s power development programme and has reaffirmed its commitment to the Indian Power Sector by equipping itself by way of contemporary technology, state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and skilled technical manpower.
