Bank of Maharashtra soars on raising Rs 1,000 crore via Lower Tier II Bonds

Bank Of Maharashtra is currently trading at Rs 61.00, up by 0.95 points or 1.58% from its previous closing of Rs 60.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 60.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs 61.50 and Rs 60.50 respectively. So far 9210 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 62.00 on 20-Dec-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs 38.20 on 02-Jan-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 60.65 and Rs 59.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 3540.50 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 78.95% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 11.82% and 9.23% respectively.

Bank of Maharashtra has raised the funds worth Rs 1,000 crore through issue of Lower Tier II Bonds which was fully subscribed and closed on December 29, 2012.

The bank posted a rise of 65.32% in its net profit at Rs 166.01 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 100.42 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income increased by 25.15% at Rs 2434.09 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1945.01 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.
