Ashok Leyland reports 58% fall in Q4 consolidated net profit

Ashok Leyland has reported results for fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2022.

The company has reported a fall of 40.51% in its net profit at Rs 901.37 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 241.17 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 24.58% at Rs 8768.45 crore for Q4FY22 as compared Rs 7038.44 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a fall of 58.14% in its net profit at Rs 157.85 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 377.13 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 21.78% at Rs 9957.95 crore for Q4FY22 as compared Rs 8176.73 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2022, the company has reported net profit at Rs 541.83 crore as compared to net loss of Rs 313.68 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 41.14% at Rs 21764.42 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 15420.95 crore for year ended March 31, 2021.

For the year ended March 31, 2022, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported net loss at Rs 285.45 crore as compared to net loss of Rs 69.60 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 34.41% at Rs 26323.96 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 19585.26 crore for year ended March 31, 2021.
