Symphony surges on reporting 48% rise in Q2 net profit

Symphony is currently trading at Rs. 365.55, up by 8.60 points or 2.41% from its previous closing of Rs. 356.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 357.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 366.45 and Rs. 352.65 respectively. So far 17578 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 473.45 on 25-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 173.00 on 04-Jun-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 392.60 and Rs. 344.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1280.21 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 1.65% and 23.35% respectively.

Symphony has reported results for second quarter ended December 31, 2012.

The company has reported 48.05% rise in its net profit at Rs 16.73 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 11.30 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 59.52% at Rs 92.12 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 57.75 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.
