Ashok Leyland is planning to launch its highly popular light commercial vehicle 'Dost' with left hand drive (LHD) option in the Middle East and African markets and the company is engaged in testing of this commercial vehicle model.

The company currently retails a range of light commercial vehicles under 'Dost' brand with right-hand drive option both in domestic and overseas. That left-hand drive (DOST) is not from the electric version. It is from current diesel (version).

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
