Ashok Leyland’s subsidiary -- Switch Mobility, JBM Auto and PMI Electro Mobility have been reportedly declared as the lowest bidders (L1) for tender floated by Convergence Energy Services (CESL) for around 6461 electric buses worth Rs 3000 crore.
Out of 6461 electric buses, Switch Mobility has emerged as the lowest bidder to manufacture 2,600 electric buses, JBM Auto emerged L1 for 1,781 e-buses and lastly PMI Electro Mobility declared as L1 for 2,080 electric buses.
Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
