Dhampur Sugar Mills trades higher on the BSE

Dhampur Sugar Mills is currently trading at Rs. 48.00, up by 0.05 points or 0.10% from its previous closing of Rs. 47.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 47.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 48.50 and Rs. 46.90 respectively. So far 14823 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 75.40 on 24-Sep-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 36.00 on 22-Feb-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 49.30 and Rs. 42.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 253.36 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.91% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 6.15% and 37.93% respectively.

Dhampur Sugar Mills has received an approval for installation of 35.5 MW Cogeneration Project at DSM Sugar Rajpura, a unit of the company. The board at its meeting held on February 08, 2013 has approved for the same.

The board has also approved to acquire entire shareholding of an overseas company at par for an amount of Singapore Dollar (SGD) 10,000.

Dhampur Sugar Mills is engaged in manufacturing sugar, ethanol, chemicals and plantation white sugar. It is the first and the largest manufacturer of refined sulphurless sugar in the India.
