Nava Bharat Ventures gains on commissioning 64MW power plant at Kharagprasad

Nava Bharat Ventures is currently trading at Rs. 180.00, up by 1.40 points or 0.78% from its previous closing of Rs. 178.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 180.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 181.90 and Rs. 180.00 respectively.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 223.50 on 02-Apr-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 147.40 on 31-Aug-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 190.75 and Rs. 171.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1607.18 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 43.21% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.37% and 24.43% respectively.

Nava Bharat Ventures’ 64MW power plant at Kharagprasad, Dhenkanal district, Odisha, has been commissioned and synchronized in association with the Odisha Power Grid. Further, the 150MW Power Plant at Paloncha, Khammam district, AP, set up through the company’s subsidiary - Nava Bharat Energy India, has also been commissioned and synchronized with the AP Power Grid.

Nava Bharat Ventures is engaged in power generation, sugar and ferro alloys and enlisted the services of a Chinese company, Sepco, to implement the power plant project, after securing various mandatory clearances from the Zambian Government.
