Axita Cotton surges on bagging orders worth $3.28 million from Bangladesh

Axita Cotton is currently trading at Rs. 62.94, up by 1.74 points or 2.84% from its previous closing of Rs. 61.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 61.49 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 63.00 and Rs. 61.49 respectively. So far 419624 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 69.60 on 15-Feb-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 11.67 on 18-Apr-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 63.00 and Rs. 54.78 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1235.38 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.65%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 11.63% and 18.73% respectively.
 
Axita Cotton has received the orders for Indian Raw Cotton valuing aggregating around $3284883.80 from Bangladesh. Earlier, the company had received contract/award from Taraspinning Mills, Bangladesh and Khadiza Sadek Spinning Mills, Bangladesh for Indian Raw Cotton valuing aggregating the $2716091.84. The contract is to be executed by April 30, 2023.

Axita Cotton is producing cotton bales and cotton seeds. The company is producing mainly two varieties of cotton bales namely Shankar-6 and MCU-5/MECH.
