Auto stocks ride high on improved May sales numbers

Stocks related to auto industry were trading higher on improved May sales numbers. SML Isuzu has sold 1290 vehicles in May 2023 as against 1145 vehicles in May 2022, showing a rise of 13% year-on-year, while Bajaj Auto has reported rise of 29% in total sales to 3,55,148 units in May 2023 as against 2,75,868 in the same month last year. Further, Eicher Motors and Volvo Group’s joint venture (JV) company -- VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has posted an 11.6% growth in total sales at 6289 units in May 2023.

SML Isuzu is currently trading at Rs. 1104.65, up by 22.30 points or 2.06 % from its previous closing of Rs. 1082.35 on the BSE.

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 4646.05, up by 82.60 points or 1.81% from its previous closing of Rs. 4563.45 on the BSE.
