Ashok Leyland’s electric vehicle arm -- Switch Mobility (Switch) has delivered the first set of SWITCH Metrocity to Stagecoach, one of the UK’s leading bus and coach operators. These first set of deliveries are part of a 20 bus order received from Stagecoach, for two variants of SWITCH Metrocity - the 8.7m for Walthamstow and the 9.5m for Lea Interchange.

Equipped with the latest NMC battery technology, the SWITCH Metrocity is one of the most efficient electric buses in its class, that has been recently upgraded to deliver improved efficiency and increased range of up to 170 miles.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
