HCL Infosystems' promoter - HCL Corporation has bought 44.69 lakh shares of the company for around Rs 17 crore in an open market transaction. HCL Corporation is the holding company of HCL Technologies and HCL Infosystems.
The promoter company has acquired 44,69,127 shares at Rs 17,11,58,570 on March 21, 2013 taking its total stake in the firm to 44.85%. The purchase took place on BSE and NSE platforms. For the period ended December 31, 2012, Shiv Nadar-owned HCL Corporation’s stake in HCL Infosystems stood at 42.85%.
