United Bank of India (UBI) is planning to open an overseas branch as it has good capital adequacy ratio. Currently the bank has representative offices in Myanmar and Dhaka and plans to set up branches in Mexico and BRICS (which comprise, apart from India, Brazil, Russia, South Africa and China) nations.
Meanwhile, the bank would also look to upgrade its representative offices in Myanmar and Dhaka into full-fledged branches.
United Bank of India has emerged as a strong and efficient banking organization over the years and plays an integral role in the socio-economic development of the Eastern and North-Eastern States of the country.
